November 2016

In November, the cool weather kicked in and so did the holidays.  I broke the rules and decorated for Christmas long before Thanksgiving and enjoyed every minute of it!  We made great memories this month from days at Disney to spending Thanksgiving in Santa Barbara, we definitely enjoyed November.

Mom and James go to Disney

It was so fun to go with James to Disneyland this month.  We went with Darci and Charlie and had a great Disney double date. James is now old enough for the big boy rides so together we went on Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Haunted House, Pirates, Star Tours and for the first time....Toy Story Mania.  I love this boys of mine.  He is sweet and such a good little buddy.  Who knows how many years we will have Disney passes so this special Disney day was one to remember.

Charlie and James had so much fun playing together at Disney.

We wore each other out!  Had so much fun at Disney together.

Birthday Extravaganza

It's true that my birthday is in September, which  means my birthday should not be popping up in November but SURPRISE....I celebrated my birthday in November.  For my birthday, Ani took me on a surprise girl's trip.  We had such a memorable weekend that I will always cherish.  We headed to Universal Studios on a Friday and spent the day at Harry Potter World.  Despite the LARGE crowds, we managed to find the quickest way to everything.  We sipped butter beer, went on The Forbidden Journey, which is my favorite ride in existence and ate dinner at Wolf Gang Puck's.  After a little detour into questionable neighborhoods, we found our hotel and proceeded to talk about all of our favorite things.  The next day we headed to South Coast Plaza for shopping and lunch, can you say garlic noodles, which was delicious!  Then she took me to the symphony hall to hear an orchestra accompany Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie.  I was so surprised and it was the perfect gift for me.  It was a weekend I'll never forget.

Santa Barbara Thanksgiving

We love heading up to Santa Barbara for Thanksgiving and we always have a wonderful time.  We made it to the Santa Barbara Zoo, The Habit, and we even ran in the Turkey Trot!  So it was perfect.  James ran the 5K with us this year and he did such a good job.  We walked a lot of it but James was pretty convinced that he won the entire race since he got to take a t-shirt home.  We tried something new this visit and rented a Surrey that I made Jamie drive along the boardwalk.  Rob and Scott rode their electric longboards alongside of us, pushing us the entire time.  It might not be something we will do again but it was hilarious and I'm glad we did it.
